A quick guide · 3 steps

How it works

Start with a Google Sheet. Write one email in Gmail. Send a personalized message to each recipient.

Paste your Google Sheet link

Use a sheet with column headers in the first row and one recipient per row below it. Include an email column and any details you want to personalize.

  1. Copy the sheet’s URL from your browser.
  2. In New campaign, choose Open another Google Sheet if the URL field is hidden.
  3. Paste the link into Google Sheet URL and click Open Sheet.
  4. Choose the Sheet tab if there is more than one, then select the Email column and check the recipient preview.

Check any rows marked invalid before sending. There is no need to make the sheet public; it must be accessible to the Google account you connected.

Write your email and add variables

Write the subject and message in the linked Gmail Compose window. Place the cursor in the message, then click a variable in the side panel to insert it and copy it to your clipboard.

For example, {First Name} becomes the recipient’s name from that row. You can also type or paste the exact variable shown in the panel into the message or subject, including its braces.

Leave the assigned Mail Merge address as the only To recipient. The extension adds it automatically. Your actual recipients come from the selected sheet.

Under Delivery, use Gmail or select an SMTP server you have configured. For a preview, click Send test to myself: it sends to your connected account using the first valid recipient row.

Test messages do not include attachments, and inline images may be missing. A test does not start the full campaign.

Send and follow the progress

When the sheet, variables, and delivery method are ready, click Send in Gmail. This submits your template and starts the campaign.

Open Campaigns, the second tab in the extension. Once the template is accepted, select the campaign to see its latest progress: sent, failed, skipped, and messages waiting for quota.

The list updates as sending progresses. If a provider’s sending limit is reached, check the quota status and resume estimate when available. After the campaign has been accepted, sending continues on the server even if you close the side panel.
